Business Professionals of America Regional Conference
Leadore’s BPA club attended the regional conference on December 15, 2023 hosted by BYU Idaho in Rexburg. The members that competed were as follows: Olivia Beyeler, Zoe Findley, Hildee Foster, Azelynn Jones, Rachel Loeweke, Katie Mackay, Dane Piippo, Jared Ramsey, and Reiny Whittaker accompanied by their advisor Kim Sharp.
Those members who qualified in their specialized individual events are: Olivia Beyeler placed 1st in Legal Office Procedures and 2nd in Personal Financial Management, she also placed in the open event Financial Math & Analysis Concepts. Zoe Findley placed 2nd in Basic Office Systems & Procedures and 3rd in Fundamental Word Processing. Hildee Foster placed 1st in Fundamental Desktop Publishing & 4th in Fundamental Spreadsheet Applications. Azelynn Jones placed 3rd in Fundamental Desktop Publishing. Rachel Loeweke placed 2nd in Fundamental Desktop Publishing. Katie Mackay placed 1st in Basic Office Systems & Procedures and 3rd in Administrative Support Research Project, she also placed in the open event Meeting and Event Planning Concepts. Dane Piippo placed 16th in Interview Skills, Jared Ramsey placed 1st in Integrated Office Applicatins & 1st in Fundamental Accounting. Reiny Whittaker placed 7th in Graphic Design Promotion. The Visual Design Team of Azelynn Jones, Rachel Loeweke and Reiny Whittaker placed 1st.
Business Professionals of America’s state leadership conference is February 12-14, 2024 at the Boise Convention Center. Any student that qualifies at state in either an open event or a specialized individual event is allowed to attend the National Leadership Conference. This year Nationals will be held in Chicago, IL, May 10-14, 2024.
