Court Approves Special Election for South Lemhi School District No. 292, Zone 3 Trustee Position
The Lemhi County Clerk’s Office has announced that a judicial review was requested and approved by the Court regarding an oversight in the upcoming November 4, 2025, Consolidated Election.
It was determined that the South Lemhi School District No. 292, Zone 3 Trustee race, scheduled for a four-year term beginning January 1, 2026, was inadvertently omitted from the November 2025 election notice and ballot.
Two candidates, Bryant Beyeler (incumbent) and Mari Jill Foster, had properly filed declarations of candidacy with the Lemhi County Clerk’s Office within the required filing period ending August 29, 2025. Mr. Beyeler filed on August 25, 2025, and Ms. Foster filed on August 26, 2025. Both filings were accepted and verified.
Upon discovery of the omission on October 16, 2025, the Clerk’s Office immediately initiated a judicial review under Idaho Code Section 34-220. The Court has since reviewed the matter and approved the Clerk’s request to hold a special election for the South Lemhi School District No. 292, Zone 3 Trustee position.
The special election will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Leadore Community Center, located at 202 South Railroad Street, Leadore, Idaho 83464.
Only the two candidates who filed within the original deadline—Bryant Beyeler and Mari Jill Foster—will appear on the ballot.
Voting Information:
Absentee Ballots may be requested from November 14, 2025, through November 21, 2025.
Voter Pre-Registration may be completed online at www.voteidaho.gov or in person at the Lemhi County Clerk’s Office, 206 Courthouse Drive, Salmon, Idaho 83467 until the 21st of November at 5:00pm.
Same-Day Registration is available at the polls on Election Day, December 2, 2025.
As of October 29, 2025, there are 101 registered voters within Zone 3. The Lemhi County Clerk’s Office, in cooperation with the Leadore School District and the Idaho Secretary of State’s Office, will conduct the special election in full compliance with Idaho election law.
